Puppy Love

Ok. So they are not really puppies but they are gorgeous and bring me such joy.

Isn't life grand?!

Below is the Countess & her Oliver posing part way through their end of winter clip. I particularly love the lioness paws.

Oh what fun

I was perusing the Pepperberry blog the other day where Sandra had written about this very cool website (by John, a self confessed library geek) which generates vintage library cards with whatever information you want.

Obviously, I've spent this week creating new cards and giggling away as I get the results.

As Sandra mentions, it would be great to organise all your favourite recipes but unfortunately, there isn't a lot of room for much text.

Anyone with a slight 'thing' for books or the library will be instantly addicted!

Desperately seeking

I came across this gorgeous Kokka fabric back at the start of the year. Having no real idea what i would do with it but thinking it too cute to resist I purchased 1mtr. Now though, I am desperately seeking many metres of it (to make nursery curtains and light shade with) but can't find it anywhere. How frustrating. Like a woman possessed, I trawl the 'net for hours each evening in search of it. Can the universe find me a fabric fairy with a solution, please.

Since May...

I have been busy. And not so busy. Spent a lot of time taking Nanna naps.
In between there has been a bit of making, lots of op-shopping, and plenty of day dreaming. 18 weeks to go and lots to do.

Magnolia Square's Tiny and Small market

I recently got this in the mail (of the electronic variety). Magnolia Square are hosting a market specifically for small people this weekend. I can't wait to check out Maggie & Sparrow as I've been reading Kathryn's blog for a few weeks now and am utterly inspired....and We Heart Books, whose blog I am a big fan of...also there will be the ever funky Onegirl. It should be a great weekend!

Ta-da

I recently posted a picture of some fabrics that were to come together for a present for my friend Jess (who is now just six weeks away from having her baby). Thanks to the very generous help and advice of all of those involved in the Tuesday night class at Amitie I present my first ever attempt at quilting.

I enjoyed making this little pram blanket so much that I'm geared up to start something new this week.

Mum

A belated post hoping that all Mum’s had a wonderful Mother’s Day.
Mr G and I participated in the Mother’s Day Classic on Sunday morning for my Mum. My folks took part at the same time but interstate so we kind of connected for the day. The Mother’s Day Classic raises money and awareness for the fight against breast cancer and it was great to see so many people take part, whether they had been touched by cancer or not.
Funny, loving, generous of heart and spirit, with amazing strength and very feisty. She never ceases to amaze me and I love her to bits! Happy Mother’s Day, Mum.
